Mason has the power to transmute any material into any other. He has to touch the item in order to use his powers.
Weaknesses and flaws: Mason is unable to transmute any item over 100 lbs at one time. He can transmute one part of an object at a time until the whole thing is changed. He is unable to transmute living tissue, but he is able to transmute items such as skin, hair and red blood cells since they are no longer living cells

History:
Born to Madison Jeffries and Lillian Crawley, Mason had a generally normal upbringing, Lillian having been very firm (finally) about Madison settling down and distancing himself from the super-heroing. He didn't have his father's smarts, but he was still drawn to mechanics, helped along in no small part by the arrival of his adoptive brother, Jordan Bochs. Mason was very shy at first, but common ground, namely dirtbikes and life-endangering sports, helped the boys connect. Quickly coming to adore his new older brother, Mason bonded well with Jordan.

Upon Jordan's acceptance into the Alpha Flight program, Mason applied as well, resolving to enter as soon as he was old enough.
